Frequently Asked Questions

Yoga is best known for its physical and mental health benefits, and even today it is one of the more popular types of exercise in the world.

Important Policy Update – Because We Care

Starting March 20th, we’ll be introducing a Late Cancel/No-Show Policy to help make sure everyone has the opportunity to practice and enjoy class.

Here’s what you need to know:

• If you need to cancel, please do so at least 2 hours before class. Cancellations within 2 hours of class time will result in a $10 fee.

• If we don’t have a card on file, the fee will be added to your account, and you won’t be able to book future classes until the balance is settled. Please keep a card on file to avoid any interruptions!

We’ve noticed a 20% no-show rate, which means some students on the waitlist are missing out on the chance to practice. This policy is about being thoughtful and respectful of everyone’s time and commitment.

We truly value each and every one of you, and our goal is to create the best experience possible for the whole community. Thank you for understanding — we’re so grateful to have you as part of our Trinity family!

What is hot yoga?

Hot yoga is a practice done in a Infrared heated studio to enhance flexibility, circulation, and detoxification. The heat helps muscles loosen, allowing for deeper stretches while promoting sweat-induced detoxification.

How hot is the studio?

Our classes range in temperature depending on the style of yoga:

Trinity Traditional Hatha (TTH): 105°F

Trinity Hatha Fusion: 100°F

Trinity Vinyasa & Trinity Sculpt: 95°F

Yin-Yasa: 90–95°F

Trinity Yin Restorative: 85°F

I’m new to hot yoga. Which class should I start with?

If you’re new to hot yoga, we recommend starting with:

Trinity Yin Restorative (gentle, slow-paced, great for recovery)

Trinity Traditional Hatha (TTH) (structured and balanced practice)

Yin-Yasa (a combination of stillness and flow for all levels)

These classes help you ease into the heat while focusing on foundational postures.

What to Bring for Your First Hot Yoga Class?

Prepare to sweat and feel amazing! Here’s what you’ll need:

A yoga mat (We have rentals available if needed!)

A large towel (or a yoga towel for extra grip)

A water bottle (Stay hydrated throughout your practice!)

Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing (For comfort in the heated studio)

💡 Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to settle in, meet your instructor, and get comfortable with the studio.

What if I’m running late?

To maintain a peaceful and distraction-free environment, our studio doors lock promptly at the start of class, and late arrivals will not be permitted to enter. This policy preserves the integrity of the practice, and minimizes disruptions once class has begun. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to check in, set up, and prepare for your practice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

What if I feel lightheaded during class?

If you feel lightheaded during class, this can be normal, especially if you're new to practicing in a heated room. We encourage you to listen to your body—take breaks as needed, assume Child’s Pose, or simply lie on your mat until you feel ready to continue. Hydration is important, so feel free to pause for water whenever needed. Your practice is your own—honor your body and take the time you need.

Yoga Studio Etiquette:
Things to Know Before You Arrive

At Trinity Hot Yoga, we strive to create a peaceful and welcoming space for all students to relax, unwind, and deepen their practice. To maintain this sacred space, please follow these simple guidelines:

1. Respect the Quiet Space
The yoga room is a place for stillness and mindfulness. Please enter quietly and be respectful of others who are meditating or preparing for class. Conversations should be kept to a whisper outside the studio.

2. No Phones or Electronics in the Yoga Room
To preserve the serenity of the space, all phones, smartwatches, and electronic devices must be turned on silent. No texting, calls, or notifications during class.

3. Arrive On Time & Stay for the Full Class
Yoga is a 60-minute journey—plan to be present for the entire experience. Arriving late disrupts the energy of the class, and leaving early can disturb others’ final relaxation. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early and stay until the instructor officially closes the class.

4. Be Mindful of Your Space & Others
Set up your mat with awareness, leaving enough room for others. If the class is full, be open to adjusting your space. Avoid stepping on others’ mats, and keep personal belongings outside the practice area.

5. Practice Good Hygiene
Come to class clean and free of strong scents (perfume, cologne, or body odor). Bring a towel if you tend to sweat, and wipe down your mat after practice.

6. Honor the Energy of the Room
Each class has its own rhythm—whether it’s a high-energy flow or a restorative session, embrace the experience fully. If you need to rest, take a child’s pose rather than leaving the room.

By following these guidelines, we can all cultivate a space that feels peaceful, inclusive, and supportive for every yogi who steps through our doors. Thank you for being part of our Trinity Hot Yoga community—we can’t wait to practice with you!
